To those of us who grew up in the 30's, 40's and 50's radio was not just a way of life, it was our life. The "Theatre of the Mind" gave us every emotion known to man, transported us to the farthest corners of the world, and gave us shows ranging from comedy to drama and all points between.
As a youngster, I would rush home from school, get my chores and homework completed and settle down in front of that marvel with its glowing green eye and listen to all of my favorite programs.
